The Grottos

A glittering world inside the mountain

Later tales from Rulantica report of beings resembling humans who are at home in water and have a large fin instead of two legs. Such sea people are said to live in the water and the extensive grotto system inside the mountains of Rulantica.
Where these beings came from and how they have come to be on the island is the subject of many myths. The most common legend is that they were once Vikings who were transformed into sea people as a punishment by the Northern gods. But what on earth did the Vikings do to deserve such a fate?
