Stone Trolls

The wisdom of nature

Stone trolls are generally described as good-natured creatures who would never hurt anybody and are said to be as old as time itself. Stone trolls are reserved and gentle fellows. But if anyone manages to break through their coarse, hard exteriors, they will be able to extract a great deal of wisdom from them.
At one point they came from Svartalheim, which is one of the nine worlds of Nordic mythology. There, they lived peacefully alongside dwarves until the trickster god Loki relocated them onto the magical island of Rulantica.
On Rulantica, stone trolls can mostly be found in Trølldal – an evergreen valley with rolling hills, colourful fungi, small rivers and streams which invite you to play and let off steam.
